Day 1. Arrive Cairns.
Upon arrival you will transferred to your hotel as chosen below.
|

Day 2. Rainforest, Kuranda &
Aboriginal Experience. Board the Kuranda train for a scenic ride to
Kuranda, famous for its markets. Travel into the towering rainforest on an
amphibious army duck. Enjoy an Aussie barbecue lunch and an authentic aboriginal
cultural performance under the canopy of the rainforest. Experience a
"Dreamtime" walk with an aboriginal guide. Throw a boomerang! You will also see
and touch Australian native animals including koalas and kangaroos Glide over
the lush canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and stop at the rainforest
interpretive centre. Coach transfer back to your accommodation. L

Day
3. Great Barrier Reef Experience.
This morning enjoy a beautiful scenic coastal drive to Port Douglas where you
will board the Quicksilver wavepiercing catamaran to enjoy an outer reef
experience. Relax and enjoy the coral viewing or you may wish to try snorkelling/scuba
diving (extra cost). Return to Port Douglas where you will be transferred to
your hotel. L

Day 4. Port Douglas at
leisure. A free day for you to relax or take part in many of the
options available: diving, fishing, golfing, etc.

Day 5.
Cape Tribulation. Travel by air conditioned 4WD
across the crocodile infested Daintree River to Cape Tribulation National Park.
During the day rainforest guided walks will allow time to photograph the natural
beauty of the Rainforest. Late afternoon you will be transferred back to your
Cairns hotel. L

Day 6.
At leisure. Another full day for you to relax
and enjoy this wonderful
part of Australia.

Day 7.
Cairns to next stop. At leisure until you are transferred to the airport.

Day 2: Great Barrier Reef |
|
Cruise out to Agincourt
Reef, on the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef. View magnificent coral and
sealife through the windows of a special sub-sea vessel. There is the
opportunity for swimming and snorkelling over the colourful reef (equipment

Day 3: Cape Tribulation |
|
Visit the Daintree
Environmental Centre. Here an expert guide will take you on a boardwalk.
Continue to Cape Tribulation, with time to walk along the beach. Later, stop
for lunch in a rainforest setting. Enjoy the panoramic views from Alexandra
Lookout before recrossing the river. Join a guided cruise on the Daintree
River and keep your eyes peeled for the fearsome saltwater crocodile. (BL) |

Day 4: Dunk Island
|
|
Depart Cairns and travel to
Mission Beach. Cruise out to Dunk Island, Australia's most beautiful
rainforest island. Enjoy time at leisure this afternoon to explore the
island. Accommodation: Banfield Unit (standard),
Garden Cabana (first class) or Beachfront Unit (deluxe), Dunk Island.

Day 5: Dunk Island Cairns |
|
After breakfast return to
the mainland. You will be transferred to Cairns. The remainder of the day is
at leisure. Accommodation: Rydges Plaza (standard),

Day 6: Kuranda
|
|
Board the famous Kuranda
train and journey to Kuranda. There is time to stroll through the famous
Kuranda Markets. Return on the Skyrail Cableway above the canopy of the
rainforest. Visit the award-winning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park and
learn about this ancient culture. (B) |

Day 7: Depart Cairns

You will be transferred to

Day 1 Thu: Cairns -
Cooktown |
|
Depart Cairns at 7.00am. Travel
north through the Daintree rainforest, stopping at beautiful Cape
Tribulation. Continue along the famous Bloomfield Track (weather
permitting). Stop at the quaint Lion's Den Hotel, before continuing past the
eerie Black Mountain to Cooktown. Tour the sights of historic Cooktown
including views from Grassy Hill. Accommodation:

Day 2 Fri: Lakefield |
|
Today we travel along
Battlecamp Road to Lakefield National Park, home to waterlily covered
billabongs, wildlife and a great variety of birdlife. Accommodation: Lotus Bird Lodge. (BLD) |

Day 3 Sat: Coen - Weipa |
|
Visit Musgrave Station, once a
fortress Telegraph Station, before crossing the Great Dividing Range to the
old gold mining town of Coen. Later, travel on to Archer River and across
the Piccaninny Plains to Weipa, located on the Gulf of Carpentaria. Accommodation: Heritage Resort, Weipa. (BLD) |

Day 4 Sun: Weipa -
Moreton |
|
This morning you may like to
join an optional tour of Weipa's mine or a half day fishing excursion. This
afternoon continue through Batavia Downs en route to the Wenlock River, site
of the historic Moreton Telegraph Office.Accommodation:

Day 5 Mon: Moreton –
Bamaga |
|
Our 4WD adventure is at its
best today as we travel along the famous Telegraph Track. Enjoy lunch and
time to swim in the pristine waters of Fruit Bat Falls. Later, cross the
mighty Jardine River to Bamaga. Accommodation:

Day 6 Tue: Cape York |
|
We visit the beautiful
Lockerbie Scrub, an isolated pocket of monsoon rainforest, on our way to
historic Somerset. This afternoon walk to the very top of Australia, Cape

Day 7 Wed: Depart
Cairns |
|
Cruise across to Thursday
Island and enjoy a guided tour of the island. We are transferred by ferry to
Horn Island. Enjoy spectacular views of the Great Barrier Reef as we fly to
Cairns, arriving at approximately 5.30pm. Your tour concludes at Cairns
