DAY 1: USA/PRAGUE
Departure on your overnight transatlantic flight to Prague with meals
enroute.
DAY 2: PRAGUE
Arrival today at the Prague airport where you will be met and transferred to
your hotel. Rest of your day is free to explore this historic and scenically
captivating city.
DAY 3: PRAGUE (B)
Tour into the old part of the city to view the Old Town Square, the
Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge,
and other sights of this captivating city. The balance of the day is at
leisure.
DAY 4: PRAGUE (B)
Today, cross the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany and St.
Vitus Cathedral. The afternoon and evening are at leisure.
DAY 5: PRAGUE/VIENNA (B)
Travel to Vienna by 2nd class train. Upgrade to First class available.
Transfers to hotel are included.
DAY 6: VIENNA (B)
On your morning sightseeing tour, visit the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of
the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and view the Belvedere Palace, Prater amusement
park, the UN buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral and other vivid reminders of
the city's imperial history. After a free afternoon, enjoy an evening
concert of Strauss' and Mozart's music.
DAY: VIENNA (B)
Spend your day shopping the famous shops or visit Vienna's world renowned
Cafes.
DAY 8: VIENNA/BUDAPEST (B)
This morning you will travel by 2nd class train to Budapest, often called
“The Paris of the East”. Afternoon free for shopping or optional excursions.
DAY 9: BUDAPEST (B)
Situated on the opposite banks of the Danube River, the former cities of
Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. Your morning
sightseeing tour includes views of the decorative Parliament building, seat
of the National Assembly; Vaci Utca, a pedestrian street lined with shops
and restaurants; Heroes' Square with the Millennium Memorial, 118 foot high
Corinthian column dedicated to the Roman Catholic Church, and the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier. The balance of the day is at leisure.
DAY 10: BUDAPEST (B)
Day is free. Enjoy a spa treatment at many of Budapest's thermal baths or
shop the 'Great Market Hall'.
DAY 11: DEPART BUDAPEST (B)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departure
flight. |
