      New Zealand's Guided Walks

Milford Track, South Island  Known as the 'finest walk in the world' . The track starts at the head of Lake Te Anau and finishes in Milford Sound. The track may only be walked in one direction, Glade Wharf to Milford Sound, during the booked walking season (late October to late April), with a maximum of 40 independent walkers permitted to start the track each day.  Booking is essential to guarantee your hut.

 

HollyFord Track, Soutb Island.  This walk is located in the Fiordland National Park. Travel through capped mtns & rivers, to wild west coast beach. Offers glimpses of rare NZ birds, seals, dolphins and penguins as well as historical sites. Three different walks offered

 

Routeburn & Greenstone Tracks, South Island.  This walk can be a three day alpine trek or combined with Greenstone track to make it 6 days. To enjoy, you need to be able to walk over 10-18km daily.

 

Steward Island Track, South Island.  Known as the Kiwi walk

 

Abel Tasman Ntl Park, South Island. Drenched in sunlight, this region offers spectacular ocean views and beaches. Its a 5 day guided walk or Kayak trip, is recommend. Includes a scenic cruise and 2 nights at both the Homestead Lodge and the Torrent Bay Lodge. A 3-day option is also available. 

 

Queen Charlotte Track, South Island. This  67km track, located at the NE tip, this is a journey full of contrasts. Experience lush sub-tropical rainforest, sheltered shorelines, untouched tides and skyline ridges with unsurpassed view of river valleys. This track takes 4 day to walk.

 

Whirinaki Track, North Island = Located in the Urewera ranges of central the North Island. With its 5 tree species, some towering to 65 meters, this is regarded as one of the world's great rainforests. Walks and treks of between 1 and 3 days are led by professional Maori guides. Begin at Taupo and Rotorua.
