A wide variety of wildlife can be observed on this eco tour. There are Pelagic birds and whales off Kaikoura, and offshore is the home of a wide variety of fish as well as dolphins, penguins and seals.
At Akaroa, there is a natural harbour formed by the region's volcanic past. The water is extremely clean and clear and home to many pods of dolphins. Here is the oportunity to enter the water and interact with the dolphins in their natural environment.
From Dunedin there are opportunities to see Albatross and Yellow Eyed penguins, before visiting the remarkable Catlins with its spectacular coastal scenery, with rocky headlands, sandy bays and estuaries and the fossilised forest contrasting sharply with the superb examples of native coastal forest.
