DAY TO DAY ITINERARY: Departures Thursday

Day 1, Thursday ~ Sydney

Arrive in the harbor city of Sydney, where you are met by your host. Transfer to your hotel, on the shores of Sydney harbor. Offering Australian hospitality with international flair, the Park Hyatt is one of the world’s most distinguished hotels. Day 2, Friday ~ Scenic Flight and Gourmet Lunch

Have a late morning start before joining a seaplane for a spectacular experience. Departing from Rose Bay, an exclusive inlet off Sydney harbor, fly over coastal waters and bush-lined shores before setting down on the Hawkesbury River. Step ashore for lunch at the renowned restaurant at Cottage Point Inn. Dine on superb Australian cuisine and enjoy excellent local wines while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Australian bush. After lunch, re-join your seaplane and take to the skies once more. Day 3, Saturday ~ Sydney Opera House Dinner

Today, discover the lively city of Sydney for yourself. Day 4, Sunday ~ Sydney Walking Tour

Join your host on a fascinating walking tour of Sydney, including a ride on the Manly Ferry across the magnificent harbor. Alternatively, since you are at leisure for the remainder of the day, you might choose to set out on an excursion to explore Sydney on your own. Discover the beauty of the Blue Mountains National Park and see Australia’s native wildlife; see the dolphins of Jervis Bay and explore the Southern Highlands; visit Canberra, the nation’s capital; or taste the fruits of the Hunter Valley’s famed vineyards. Day 5, Monday ~ Sydney/Hayman Island

Day 12, Monday ~ Ayers Rock/Melbourne

Day 14, Wednesday ~ Yarra Valley Wineries

This morning, learn about Australia’s native wildlife, including koalas, Australian birds of prey, and kangaroos, at Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary. Later, visit the beautiful Yarra Valley wine district. Australia has built a reputation as a producer of many of the world’s great wines, and now is your chance to try them for yourself. Tour a boutique winery and enjoy a superb luncheon amid these vine-covered hills. B,L
