Day 1: to Day 2 Depart USA for your Australia New Zealand tour
We fly over the international date line on our way to Auckland, New Zealand.
Day 3: Arrive Auckland (2 nights)
On arrival in Auckland you will be transferred to your hotel, with a guaranteed early check-in. This evening enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner with your Tour Director and traveling companions. TF. (Dinner)
Day 4: Auckland Sightseeing
We start the day with a sightseeing tour including a cruise on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour. Sit back and relax, it’s the best way to see Auckland, the City of Sails!(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 5: Auckland - Rotorua
We tour the amazing Waitomo Caves Glow Worm Grotto then continue to Rotorua to visit Te Puia. This evening enjoy a Maori Hangi Highlight Dinner accompanied by local wine and a concert.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 6: Rotorua - Christchurch
We visit Rainbow Springs Nature Park and later the Agrodome Sheep Show. We fly to Christchurch (flights to depart after 12 noon).(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 7: Christchurch - Franz Josef
We start the day with a spectacular train journey on the TranzAlpine through the Southern Alps. At Hokitika we visit a New Zealand greenstone (jade) factory. At Franz Josef Glacier you’ll have the opportunity to see it from the air on an optional scenic flight (weather permitting).(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8: Franz Josef - Queenstown (3 nights)
We drive over the Haast Pass, past Thunder Creek Falls, Lakes Wanaka, Hawea and Dunstan, then stop at the stone fruit capital Cromwell and historic gold mining Arrowtown, en route to Queenstown.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9: Milford Sound
We journey over the Devil's Staircase and along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau. Next we travel through the rainforest of World Heritage Fiordland National Park. We drive through the hand-hewn Homer Tunnel before reaching mystical Milford Sound for our cruise which includes a Highlight Lunch.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Lunch)
Day 10: Queenstown at Leisure
A full day at leisure to explore the adventure capital. Take it easy with a wine or garden tour or go wild with a jet boat ride or white water rafting.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 11: Queenstown - Christchurch
You may wish to take an optional scenic flight over Mt. Cook (weather permitting). Later we stop at Lake Tekapo to view the Church of the Good Shepherd, en route to Christchurch. This evening enjoy local hospitality with a delicious 'Be My Guest' dinner with wine in a Kiwi home.(Buffet Breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)
Day 12: Christchurch - Melbourne (2 nights)
We board our flight to Australia and the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne. This afternoon we’ll tour the sights of the city.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 13: Melbourne at Leisure
Today is free for you to enjoy Melbourne. Perhaps take an excursion along the Great Ocean Road or to the nightly ritual of the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 14: Melbourne - Adelaide
You will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Adelaide. Why not explore this 'city of churches'.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 15: Adelaide - Kangaroo Island
Travel through the Fleurieu Peninsula and board a ferry to Kangaroo Island. At Seal Bay Conservation Park walk amongst Australia's most accessible colony of sea lions as they doze in the sun.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 16: Kangaroo Island - Adelaide
Tour Kelly Hill Caves, the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch and see fur seals, within Flinders Chase National Park.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch)
Day 17: Adelaide - Ayers Rock
You will be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. This afternoon explore the mysterious 36 domes of Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas) followed by sunset at Uluṟu (Ayers Rock).(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 18: Ayers Rock - Alice Springs (2 nights)
Rise early to view the spectacle of sunrise at Uluṟu (Ayers Rock). There is the opportunity to climb to the summit or enjoy a guided tour of the base. Later, we travel to Alice Springs.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 19: Alice Springs at Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Perhaps take a 4WD safari into Palm Valley. Tonight we travel out to Ooraminna, a genuine Aussie outback homestead for a taste of outback life and a 'Be My Guest' barbecue dinner with the Hayes family.(Buffet Breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)
Day 20: Alice Springs - Darwin
We'll visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service before your flight to Darwin. On arrival we will tour the sights of the city.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 21: Darwin - Kakadu
We travel deep into Kakadu National Park and stop at Nourlangie Rock to view its Aboriginal rock art. Later we join our local expert guide for a crocodile spotting cruise on Yellow Water Billabong.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 22: Kakadu - Darwin
We travel to the Bowali Visitor Centre. Later, we stop at Ubirr where a short guided walk will introduce us to the area's Aboriginal culture, before returning to Darwin.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 23: Darwin - Cairns (3 nights)
You will be transferred to Darwin Airport for your flight to Cairns. The remainder of your day is at leisure.(Israeli Breakfast)
Day 24: Great Barrier Reef
This morning join a high speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation. There is the opportunity to go snorkeling (equipment provided). Enjoy a Highlight Lunch before we return to Cairns.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Lunch)
Day 25: Cairns at Leisure
A full day at leisure in Cairns. Perhaps take an excursion on the Skyrail Cableway to Kuranda or visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Or take a trip to the beaches of Cape Tribulation and rainforests of the Daintree National Park.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 26: Cairns - Sydney (3 nights)
You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney. You'll have time at leisure to explore this exciting city.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 27: Sydney Sightseeing
This morning see the sights of the city including a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House. See the Harbour Bridge and visit Bondi Beach, where there's time for a stroll along the golden sand. Enjoy a Highlight Lunch cruising Sydney Harbour. Then you will have the chance to learn about Australia's national gemstone - the opal.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Lunch)
Day 28: Sydney at Leisure
A full day at leisure. Why not take an excursion to the Blue Mountains and see some of Australia’s native wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park? We’ll gather together this evening for a Farewell Dinner with our Tour Director and new-found friends.(Buffet Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)
Day 29: Sydney - USA. Your escorted Australia New Zealand tour ends here.
