Day 5. Russell Falls, World Heritage Lake St Clair, West Coast Wilderness Railway
Enter Mt Field National Park, and walk to Russell Falls. From here, travel through the forests of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area to Lake St Clair. Join the West Coast Wilderness Railway for a ride through the forest. On a lovingly-restored steam train, you’ll travel through lush mountainous countryside crossing trestle bridges that straddle deep river gorges.

Day 6. World Heritage Wilderness, Gordon River Cruise, Dine Around Dinner

Day 7. Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain, Freedom of Choice Touring
Journey to Cradle Mountain and explore Dove Lake with a local guide. View the jagged contours of Cradle Mountain and visit Waldheim Chalet, a forest home built in 1912. This afternoon, perhaps sample Tasmania’s finest wines and cheeses; take a guided Enchanted Walk; join a night wildlife spotlight tour in search of native animals (limited availability); pick up a Gourmet Picnic Hamper to enjoy in the magnificent surrounds of the national park; or pamper yourself at the Waldheim Alpine Spa.

Day 9. Sheffield Murals, Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Woolmers Estate

Day 10. Historical Ross, Launceston, Farewell Drinks and Dinner
Travel around the Great Lake, Australia’s second largest freshwater lake. Your journey will also take you to the charming heritage township of Ross. Here, view the famous historical bridge, built by convicts and featuring more than 180 unique hand carvings, and take some time to explore the colonial township. Return to Launceston and spend your last evening at a Farewell Dinner and Drinks, which includes a presentation from the chef disclosing his culinary secrets.

Day 11. Launceston, Cataract Gorge, Depart
Explore Cataract Gorge, a unique natural rock formation that cuts its way from the South Esk River, joining the Tamar River on the outskirts of Launceston. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight.
