DAY 1 - Depart for Australia - Cross the international dateline and arrive on Day 3
DAY 3 - Arrive in Sydney, Australia
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel where the evening is free.
DAY 4 - Sydney
A free morning to explore Sydney. You might visit Darling Harbour, with its shops, cafés, museums and other attractions. Then, board a luncheon cruise on Sydney Harbour, with views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Fort Denison and beautiful waterfront homes. Afterwards take a guided tour of the world famous Opera House. (L)
DAY 5 - Sydney
A day at leisure. Perhaps join an optional tour to the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, or one of the many other choices available
DAY 6 - Sydney / Cairns
Board a mid-day flight to Cairns. Tonight enjoy one of the fine international restaurants along the Esplanade.
DAY 7 -Great Barrier Reef Cruise
Board a luxury catamaran bound for the outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Enjoy your day with rides in the semi-submersible, guided snorkeling tours, swimming or just relaxing and sunbathing. Return to Cairns this afternoon. (L)
DAY 8 - Cairns
A full day at leisure. Optional trips include the Kuranda Rainforest and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, river rafting, a rainforest walk, scuba diving or an outing to spot crocodiles.
DAY 9 - Cairns / Melbourne
Transfer to Cairns airport for your flight to Melbourne. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Tonight, dine aboard a converted 1927 Tramcar traveling through Melbourne. (D)
DAY 10 - Melbourne
On this morning’s city tour, see the Shrine of Remembrance, Queen Victoria Markets and Westgate Bridge. Stroll around the Royal Botanic Gardens and Fitzroy Gardens. End your tour with a cruise on the Yarra River.
DAY 11 - Melbourne
A day at leisure. Optional side trips include the Yarra Valley wine growing region, a day trip along the Great Ocean Road, and the Fairy Penguin Parade.
DAY 12 - Melbourne / Los Angeles
Your day is free until your transfer to the airport for your flight home. |
